Tree of Life Charity Pendant {Christina Applegate x Alex Woo}

 After beating breast cancer Christina Applegate became a spokesperson for the Right Action for Women foundation. In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the American actress collaborated with jewellery designer Alex Woo to create a stylish new pendant necklace to raise money for her charity.

“This piece reminds me so much of the roses I made out of ribbons for my friends and family while in the hospital,” said Christina.

“I am so grateful to Alex for creating such a beautiful piece to benefit Right Action for Women. Proceeds from the necklace will help women at high risk for breast cancer get the screenings and testing they need to beat this disease.”

The tree and branches within the pendant which is available in both silver and gold are designed to signify balance, peace, harmony and the curves of a woman. The seven leaves represent each day of the week, reminding women to live everyday to the fullest. To help ensure the early detection of breast cancer, visit alexwoo.com and purchase your necklace just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.

Over The Knee Socks

Make a style statement this Autumn/Winter 2010 with some long socks.There are various patterns and style on the market.

Don't be afraid to layer your socks this season. Knee high socks and over the knee socks worn over sheer or patterned tights can add a whole new dimension to your outfit. Nor should you be afraid to try colour and texture, particularly if you want the socks to be a focal piece of your outfit. Dark thigh high socks under over the knee boots make for a strong look.

If you're short, knee high socks that cut off below the knee are best paired with a shorter hemline to expose more leg and, thus, imply greater height.
